§. 1.

The contract of service comes into effect through the engagement,
which immediately becomes valid as soon as the servants
have mutually assured each other, the one that he will accept him and the other that he
will enter into service.
The usual commission money, or the so-called
"Darangabe," or handshake, therefore serves only as proof
and pledge of the actual commission,
and may be permitted in the future in those places
where it has been customary, but it may never be less
than the twentieth part of the salary, and
may be deducted by the employer at the time
of the first payment.

§. 2.

After the contract has been signed, the master
shall accept the servant, and the servant shall be
obligated to stand by him; however, if the master
does not wish to have the servant who has already been conditioned serve,
either because of discovered and proven misconduct,
or because of some other essential infirmity,
the latter shall return the received statement without objection.

§. 3.

If, on the other hand, without a valid reason,
the servant refuses to allow the imposed servant
to enter service, the servant shall be entitled to return
the the service provider is entitled to keep any payment received.
