. At a meeting of the Garden & Cemetery Com. held at Dr. Bigelows, present. Mess. Gould, Bond, Brimmer, Bigelow, & Pratt.

Voted, that the surveying Committee have authority to grant the petition of Mess. Stone & Bird, also, that of Mess. Winship of Brighton, & to consider the petition of Mr. Otis Pettee of Newton.

Miss Adams.

Voted, that the Come of Surveys appropriate a portion of land for the purpose of depositing the remains of Miss Hannah Adams.

Gardener

Voted, that a Committee be appointed to confer with members of the Horticultural Society in regard to the selection of a suitable permit for Gardener, for the establishment at Mount Auburn. Voted, that a Committee of three be appointed, Z. Cook Jr} B. A. Gould} were chosen -- G W. Pratt}

At a meeting of the Garden & Cemetery Come. held this afternoon, present, Mess. Bond, Bigelow, Gould, Cook & Pratt.

Fence.

On motion of Dr. Bigelow, Voted, that Mr. Cook & Mr. Bond be a Committee to decide upon the form of a fence, to enclose the whole of the grounds at Mount Auburn, & to advertise for proposals for the building of the same, and to report at a future meeting of the Committee.

At a meeting of the Garden & Cemetery Committee present, Mess. Bond, Cook, Bigelow & Pratt. The resignation of Mr. Pratt as Secretary of the Garden & Cemetery Committee was accepted -- C.P. Curtis was chosen Secretary.

Fence

Voted, that the Committee on the fence be authorized to contract with Mr. Stone or any one else to cause a fence to be constructed at a price not to exceed four dollars per Rod --

Voted, that the choice of the remainder of the lots be offered at auction on the ,

At a meeting of the Garden & Cemetery Committee present, Joseph Story, George Bond, Jacob Bigelow & Z. Cook Junr.. held .

Subscripn for Lots

It was voted that Dr Bigelow and Mr Curtis be a committee to obtain subscribers for lots, by employing an agent to go round, if they deem it expedient.

Sale at Auction

Voted that there be a sale of lots at Auction, on Mt Auburn --

At a meeting of the Garden & Cemetery Committee held , present, Joseph Story, George Bond, Jacob Bigelow, Z. Cook Junr.. George W Brimmer and B A. Gould-

Enlargement of Lots &c.

Voted. that Gen. Dearborn, Dr Bigelow & GW Brimmer be a Sub Committee to decide on all applications for enlarging lots or laying out new lots, on the terms of the Vote of -

Voted that the Same Committee employ proper officers or servants to take the grounds on ; -

Receiving Tomb-

Voted that the Same Committee build a receiving tomb at such place on the grounds and at such time as they deem proper;

Subscriptn for Obser.

Voted that a subscription be opened at such time as the aforesaid committee deem expedient, for the erection of an observatory on Mount Auburn Voted that the same Committee adjust the bounds of Messr Winships lot -

Voted that Messrs Cook, Pratt, Gould, Elijah Vose

Gardener.

and Robert L. Emmons be a committee to employ a Gardener for one year at a salary not exceeding two hundred sixty dollars.-

Voted that the building on the grounds be placed at the disposal of the Gardener, till further ordered

Comee to purchase land.

Voted that Mr Brimmer be a Committee to contract for a parcel of land lying on the West side of the grounds, containing about 4-1/2 acres, at a price not exceeding $_0,00, subject to the approval of the Horticultural Society - provided funds can be obtained by loan or otherwise without encroaching on the funds now in the Treasury Charles P. At a meeting of the Garden & Cemetery Committee of the Massachusetts Horticultural Society, held , present, General Dearborn, Dr Bigelow, and Messr Brimmer, Bond, Gould & Everett-

Superintendant.

Voted that General Dearborn be joined to the Committee on the appointment of a Superintendant and Gardener;

Dwelling & Office for Superintt

Voted that Gen. Dearborn, Mr Brimmer & Dr Bigelow be a Committee to remove the barn (on the estate of Mount Auburn,) and fit up the fence for a dwelling & office for the Superintendant & Gardener, provided the expense does not exceed five hundred dollars--

At a meeting of the Garden & Cemetery Committee held , present Judge Story Gen.l Dearborn, Z. Cook Jr, G W Pratt, B A Gould Dr Bigelow and G. Bond--

Vote rescinded

Voted that the vote passed at the last meeting of the Committee directing the removal & repair of the barn be rescinded

Model of Gate

Voted that Dr Bigelow be a Committee to procure a model of a gate for the Cemetery Entrance Voted that the expense of this model as well as of the one procured by Mr Brimmer be paid by the Treasurer--

Gate & Lodges.

Voted that the Model for a Gateway & Lodges produced by Dr Bigelow, be adopted and that Gen. Dearborn Dr Bigelow & Mr Brimmer be a Committee to cause the Gate & Lodges to be constructed of wood agreeably to said model-

Accounts

Voted that sundry bills for labour & services rendered be referred for adjustment, to Gen. Dearborn & Mr Gould.
