weathear at 3 PM boarded A Rack Brig Loadid with timber and got some
deck plank and A timber 30 feet long 15 in squair [fir?] saw a
no of sail &c the last part heavy gale from th North at
noon luft too heading SW by W under fore spencer and clost reeft m top sail

trysail at 3½ sot main top sail and at 4 PM clew
it up again and furld it the last part more mode
ate at 6 AM sot main top sail and staysail at 7 AM sot
fore sail and fore top sail at 8 AM handed fore top sail and
hald up the fore sail at 7 AM keep off south saw one sail B.

All theas 24 hours strong breeses from the NW
with some heavy squales brig stering South and S by E
at 10 PM woar ship and at 3 AM woar ship heading South at day light
saw the Land Island by the Name of Palma one of the Canary Islands set the fore top
sail main sail and jill and heep off round under the lee of the island.
