be and is hereby appointed Agent for the same for [blank space] years
from and after the first Day of August next and from thence to the
End of the next Session of Assembly, and impowered authorised
and required to lay before his Majesty and his Ministers proper
Documents of the Expenses incurred by this Government during
the Present War in Supporting the Common Cause, And
also to sollicit & Transact all Business and affairs of the
Province which shall be necessary to be represented and made known
to his Majesty or any of the Public boards in England According
as he shall from Time to Time be instructed, or advised by the
Committee of Correspondence herein after named & find it Ne=
=cessary. And for his Trouble Expenses and Service therein shall
[crossed out word] [be?] [end crossed out word] allowed the Sum of [blank space] Pounds [crossed out word illegible]
Sterling Money per Annum to be computed from the aforesaid
first Day of August until his said Agency shall expire.
And there shall be paid to the said Committee of Correspondence
out of the Public Treasury so much Money as shall be suf
=ficient to enable them to remit the said salary in Sterling
Money as aforesaid, which they are hereby impowered and
required to do as the same shall be come due.

And be it further enacted, by the Au=
=thority aforesaid, that the said [blank space]
be and is by this Act authorised and impowered to Ask take
and receive from the Right Honorable Lords of the Treasury
or such other person & persons as have or ought to Pay the
Proportion of the Province in the fifty thousand Pounds
Sterling granted by his Majesty and his Parliament to
Virginia and North and South Carolina, and also all such
other [???] & [???] as by his Majesty and Parliament have
been or shall be granted to this Province, and to remit the
same to the Public Treasurer agreeable to the Directions of
this Act & such advices as he shall receive from the said Com
=mittee of Correspondence.
