[Indented] A. Yes.
[Indented] Q. Were any of his brothers present? if so, give the
names and what was their conduct over his leaving.
[Indented] A. His brother Arthur Lane was present on that day and
was shedding tears; he seemed to hate for his borther to go as bad
as any body I ever saw. I have seen lots of leave and he seemed to
hate it as bad as anybody.
[Indented] Q. When the Sheriff was to make the search at Arthus
Lane's home did he and his family appear unconcerned about it.
[Indented] A. Yes, very unconcerned.
