Hello Ma,

How is every one there this time? Just fine I hope. as for me I am always well and O.K. I think I wrote you last week, But will write again as I have nothing else to do at the present time.

I had a letter from Cleo today. and she said some exmarine was going to shool there now.

You know, I think if the war ends any time soon, I will go back to shool. ha!

When did you hear from James? Say, did you ever send him my address? I haven't heard from

Does anyone know if Thomas H. is back out here or not? Or did he get shore duty?

Well, I guess the news from the Pacific has been pretty good for the last couple weeks hasn't it? I can't think of any more to write now. But will write again soon. you do the same.

Lots of love Ernest

Tell all hello.

Dear Mom,

Well, here I am writing again. I think I wrote one a couple days ago. But, I think I have about goten around to everyone else so I guess I'll write to you again, as I haven't any thing else to do at the present.

Of course I could stop writing and play with "Causey". I think thats what he won'ts me to do.

He won't let me write. ha!

Say, what day did Glenn go back? From what I heard he and Cleo had a right good time together on his last leave.

I some times wonder if he isn't in what they call the "home town navy." I don't know how some of them does it.

Tell Irvin he should see my hair now. Boy, its realy curley.

I think it must have been because it was shaved ha!

When have you heard from James? I would write him again but I havent got his address.

Tell him to drop his brother a line some time. Tell him not to be afraid to write because I am a "sailor". ha!

Well, you write soon also. Tell Dad, and Sam, hello for me.

Love, your son Ernest
