Hello Ma,

How are you and the rest of
the family getting along? fine I hope.
as for me I am always O.K. and and am
getting fat. ha! I must weigh at least
160 now. But if I get back in the states
I will lose that. ha!

I had a couple letters from you
today. Also one from Maydell. you ask
something about if I had seen
Willard. no I haven't, but I have seen
his ship. am hoping to see him before
long.

When did you hear from James?
I can't see why he hasn't been home.
you said in one of you letter you had
an idea where I was. Well, I guess you
were right. ha!

Well, you know how news is out here.
isn't very much to tell. So will close this
