February 21. 1912 Was When I joined the girts Tomato Club for one years work on one [illegible] a are on which I [illegible] 4 one horse loads of manure on the 10 day of April I had the manure halled on and the grown broke with a one horse turn plow it tuck to hours and a half to hall the manure and breake the grown. I sowed my first seed March the 26 it tuck me one hour to fix my bed and sow my seed. and on the 8 day of April I saw My first plant up. On the 19 day of May I sowed my last seed it tuck me one half hour and in a few days or a week my bed was just covered with plants. The 25 day of April I transplanted my plants of the first sowing it tuck me half an hour

an on the 10 day I transplanted My plants of the last sowing it tuck me one half an hour on the 17 day of May I had My grown plowed with a cultivator and harrowed it tuck one hour and 25- Minutes. On the 28 day of May I planted my plants in My one tenth of an acre it tuck 3 hours and a half to set them out on the 15 day of June I had my plants plowed and I howed them it tuck 2 hours on the 10 day of June I saw my first bloom. On the 27 day of June I saw my first green tomato On the 3 day of June I had My plants plowed and I howed then again On the 19 day of July I saw the first ripe tomato.

On the 18 of June I staked My tomatoes it took me one day to stake them and the tie them up. Of my one tenth acre I canned 100. cans and used $1.60 worth My self.
