Dear Ladies,

I have been pleased
to receive a carton of cigarettes
and a box of Smiles n' Chuckles
in the past week.

We in the Air Force
do fairly well in the matter
of chocolate for it is a staple
part of our flying rations.

However, it will not stand
comparison with a box of a
Canadian made brand.

Cigarettes are never
am[?] for no Canadian can
accustom himself to the
English tobacco. Perhaps
it is war-time deficiencies
best the people themselves
