I herewith Enclose
an account of the [?] of the
[Carp?] [?] for charges upon
a [?] containing
specimen of white fish. forwarded
from Manitoba, and the North
West:--[?] $28.25
(the packages of fish were
sent by
Fishery oficers in the North West,
by instruction from your Dept.
I [?] to say that (in) the several
packages came to hand in a perfectly
[?] condition for particular
Examination; [?] of them were in
a [?] state: of this fact!
Note to [?] McQueen, telling
him that it was perfectly [?]
to send fish in this way, as the
principal object I ought to the leaned
could not be got at on account.
Of the [?] staate of the [?]
[?]the fish; but that he
[Recto]
that white fish deposit their
over in the water of the North
West, and Manitoba during
the month of October, are [?];
and most certainly judging
from the compact state of the [?]
of the fish sent me, they could
not be emitted for the fish,
as they [?] still helddd together
in one [?]; and therefore
unripe, and not [?]
for interpretation by the Milt
of the Male fish. -
I much therefore conclude
that the [?] in which white
fish [?] to lay their
Egg in the [?], in
the same as in Ontario.

herein, as the agent responses
it at once. -
