March

1 Fresh south west breeze stormy rain thick weather. Sea rough. Bar 30.04. General duties for the day. 2nd asst went to Newport for mail and supplies.

2 Light southerly wind rain thick fog. Sea rough. Bar 30.10. Keeper working in the garden. 1st and 2nd asst working in there respective quarters.

3 Light southerly wind rain misty fog. Sea mod. Bar 30.04. Keeper and 2nd asst working in the barn. 1st asst went to Newport for mail.

4 Light southwest breeze misty rain to clear. Sea mod. Bar 29.97. 1st and 2nd asst working in barn. Keeper left station for Newport at 10:00 AM.

5 Light west to northwest breeze dry. Sea mod. Bar 30.16. 1st and 2nd asst working in there respective quarters.

6 Light west to southwest breeze misty damp. Sea mod. Bar 30.20. General duties for the day. 2nd asst showing 4 visitors in tower. Keeper returned to station at 3:00 PM.

7 Let southerly wind misty damp heavy w swell. Bar 30.22. Keeper working in his garden. 1st and 2nd asst working in there quarters.
