Mr G. Hood took Dyers portion of the 1866 Crop
10 Bales and converted all of his Dyes 1/2
to his Hoods own use, Thus taking 5 Bales
that was under my lien. The balance 23
bales was sent forward, by Mr Rollins & Hoods
Consent in the name of General[?] Sparrow, at the
instance of my reques,t as Mr Hood refused
to divide the Cotton at the Gin, as the freedmens
contract called for, and I had reasons to
think that the whole would share the [fate?]
of the 5 Bales Respectfully
