The Chairman from the Committee on Streets brought
up a Report (Number 426 Book E.) which was read and adopted

A Report from the City Engineer was read in reference
to the petition of the property owners on Colborne street asking
for the Construction of a drain under local improvements act.

On motion of Ald. Thompson seconded by Ald. Robinson

[in margin: MF]

Ordered that the [strikeout]petition[/strikeout] Report of the City Engineer with
reference to the Construction of a sewer on Upper Colborne street
be received and adopted and that that portion with reference
to Durham street be referred to the street Committee to report
at the next regular meeting of this Council.

On motion of Ald. Harty seconded by Ald. Gildersleeve

Ordered, That the Mayor do leave the Chair

Ald. McIntyre was chosen Chairman

The Mayor from the Select Committee on Water
Works brought up a Report (Number 427 Book E.) which
was read and adopted - Ald. McIntyre left the Chair and
The Mayor took the same

Ald. Thompson introduced a By Law to authorize
the Construction of a Common sewer in part of Colborne
street in the City of Kingston as a local work and improvement
under the provisions in that behalf of the Consolidated Municipal
Act of 1883 and amendments - which was read a first
time

The 30th Rule was suspended and the Council
went into Committee of the whole on the second reading

Ald. Hiscock in the Chair

The Council resumed

The Committee rose and the Chairman reported
the second reading of the By Law clause by clause -
The Report was received

The 30th Rule was again suspended and the
By Law was read a third time and passed

Ald. Thompson introduced a By Law to regulate
the width of tires to be placed and used on the wheels of
all carts and other two wheeled vehicles used for the
conveyance of articles of burden, goods, wares or Merchandise
in the City of Kingston which was read a first time

Ald. Harty introduced a By Law to fix a price
to be offered for the walks or stalls of the City of Kingston
Water Works Company which was read a first time

The 30th Rule was suspended and the Council
went into Committee of the whole on the second reading

Ald. McIntyre in the Chair

The Council resumed

The Committee rose and the Chairman reported the
second reading of the By Law clause by clause - The
Report was received.

The 30th Rule was again suspended and the
By Law was read a third time and passed

On motion of Ald. Shannon seconded by Ald. J. Wilson
