My dearest wee Mother
Susie was very glad to get Nan's kind letter last
night. She gets up tomorrow & I think her cough is really much
better. Poor Mr John has developed glands & will have to
see the Doctor. It is a pity, for he treats an ailment as a
personal insult. I am sorry Bill can do nothing about the
car. I had the kindest letter from Uncle John today about
'Lord Ardwall', which I sent him.
I dined at the Olivers last night & met a lot of young
members of Parliament. I have just been to the station to see
