My dear Buchan,

Your letter is a very
great pleasure. I told the
publishers to send my book
for I thought several times
as I wrote it 'I wonder
if Buchan will like that.'
It occurred to me when the
new edition came out that
very likely you hadn't seen
it & never would see it
