My dearest wee Mother
Alastair departed for Oxford last night at 4.55 after
taking Alice to the Zoo. His first results come out next
Wednesday night. I do hope the dear laddie gets something.
Susie's cold is definitely better owing to this treatment.
She is in bed just now for 4 days, but she coughs much
less. I am dining to night with my old master at the Bar,
Hamilton, whose family came from Caverhill [in Peeblesshire]. He is now Lord Sumner.
I got Walter's letter this morning. I hope you are all well.
