My dearest wee Mother

This is a cold grey day. Susie is still in bed,
but her cough is very much better, and I think will soon be
away. Alice & John are going to a party today at the Raphaels,
We had a line from Alastair. He seems to have liked the first
[Oxford entrance] paper yesterday. I dined last night with the Sumners &
met a lot of lawyers. To night I am dining with the Olivers.
