My dearest wee Mother

I had a very pleasant journey home yesterday. I lunched
with Ian, & found Lady de Vesci, Susie's cousin, in the
train, so I got company all the way to London. Susie & Nan
were out at a play when I arrived. They are both very
well. Susie is delighted with & very grateful for the eggs &
fowl & honey, all of which arrived safely.

The children are well, but Mr John is going
through one of his fierce moods, when he takes a low view of
