THE BANK HOUSE, PEEBLES, SCOTLAND.

Feb: 20: 15

My dearest little one

This is a lovely clear Spring day. I had a busy day in Edinburgh yesterday with George. Tommie came in in the afternoon looking very well. He has got 8 days leave, & is spending two hunting at Philiphaugh, two at Lennel, two fishing with Roxburgh, & two fishing with Dunglass. He is in great form, though very bored with his work. He hasn't had any leave since August

roughish lot of dogs, & were rather restless at first, but I got them all right before the end.

I am spending the morning with Clink visiting some of the people who have lost sons in the war. I am going into Edinburgh at 5 & will probably go to tea at Cringletie on the road. Lady S. & Sir George were at the lecture last night

lot of work done.

I am wondering how you all are & looking forward to a letter to night. They speak constantly of the little people here. The "Rochade" does not seem to be prospering. Walter goes off this morning to Ipswich on business.

Much love, my darling, to you and the blessings

Your ever devoted

Mr. Fozz.
