baby. Alice is a splendid little creature just now, so strong & firm,
& such an outrageous flirt. Living at Grosvenor Street [ST: my mother's house] suits her
health, as she has more room to run about. Mungo is back from the
vet.

I seem to have no news today. Anne Douglas has asked Alice to a
children's party next Saturday, but unfortunately she can't go. Nurse
Lucy goes away next Saturday. I have no news to-day, except that I can't
get my Xmas presents finished. I wish I could be with you this week-end.
I am always thinking of you, & wondering how you are, my poor wee body.
I hope Nan is taking care of her health.
