My dearest wee mother
This is a nice cool day. I was very busy all yesterday,
& had a long session meeting in the morning. Glenconner must be
getting generous, for there was a deficit of £178 in the cost of the
alteration of our hall, & he promptly sent a cheque for it.
Susie dined with her mother last night, & I stayed at home &
worked. The Frank Tennants opposite had a dance & the
sounds of bagpipes keep coming over. Susie seems to have
bagged a great deal of stuff for Peebles from the Bazaar.
