I am here for a few days
deer-stalking. It is kind of you to
send me the volume of your History,
which I shall certainly read with interest,
and will let you know about any special
points, if any, that may strike me. I
much appreciate your thinking of me.
It is dull work being out in the desert
after such a busy life, and to find
one's-self remembered by one's former
acquaintances is a welcome consolation.
