My dearest wee Mother

Susie & I got back to Terry's Lodge safely
last night & found the children very well. It is not a very
easy job getting rations up to that place, for we
have no transport. We were glad to get old Nan's
interesting letter. When do you go to Broughton Green?
You seem to be as very dried up in Scotland as
we are here. The potatoes, hops & fruit are
absolutely ruined in Kent. I hope to get down
