John are deep in "Tom Sawyer" & "King Solomon's Mines". Mr John is sleeping
much better. I am looking forward to spending the next four days in the country. I
hope to finish "Mr Standfast" or very near it. How is Nan's book getting on?

I do hope your sickness is better, wee body. We are all puzzled by the
delay of the German attack.
