Dear John:

"John MacNab" is
great. He arrived at the hospital
when I was lying on a bed of
pain, following an operation for
hernia and a subsequent re-
arrangement of my insides: you
can imagine what a joy he was.
Many people here wish you had
ended it differently and not
forgiven the Claybodys, but I
don't agree. You should, however,
change "poop", (page 66, line 18)
to "boob" - for the honor of the
American tongue.
