I feel it's hopeless to try & get on to you
but you may be able to get through to
me. The nuisance is that we ought to
have met before Easter to discuss this
situation, I quite understand your
position. In John's place I would'nt
raise one finger to canvass such a job
for myself. I think your attitude
absolutely right & correct & commend it
entirely. But that does'nt end the
matter so far as I am concerned. I
am the postbox which has to get this
communication through to the Government.
