Dear Mr Buchan, -
I feel impelled to write a line to thank you for the cordiality of your welcome to your beautiful house. I felt much diffidence in claiming an old acquaintance, & was correspondingly pleased to find that you had not forgotten your visit here.

me to accompany him. I thought it would encourage your son to hear what he has to say about the Civic Staff in Uganda. Do not trouble to reply & put Thruston's letter in the waste-paper basket.
Sincerely yours
Lugard
