the terms of said ordinance, to which this is a supple-
ment.

SECTION 1. Now be it ordained by the City Council of the
City of Greenville, South Carolina, as follows: That in
lieu of the flushing of sewers and gutters through a
hose and nozzle as provided in Section 10 of the said
ordinance, to which this is a supplement, the Paris
Mountain Water Company agrees to furnish to the said
City of Greenville not exceeding four hundred and twenty
gallons of water in twenty-four hours to each one of one
hundred and thirty-six flush tanks, which may be pro-
vided by the City of Greenville, as they may be located
on the sewer system within the limits of said City, and
the said Paris Mountain Water Company shall have the
right at any time, but at its expense, to put a meter on
any or all of the flush tanks so located, and the said
City of Greenville agrees to pay for the water used by
each flush tank so located in excess of the four hundred
and twenty gallons allowed for each flush tank at the
advertised meter rates for such excess, and the amount
registered by said meter shall be paid to the Paris
Mountain Water Company on the first days of January,
April, July and October of each year.

SEC. 2. That the conditions of this ordinance shall be mu-
tually binding upon the City of Greenville, South Caro-
lina, and the Paris Mountain Water Company, and
shall have the force and effect of a contract between the
respective parties and as fully and completely as if they
were drawn in that form and signed by the contracting
parties, and that the Mayor and Clerk of the City of
Greenville, South Carolina, are hereby authorized and
instructed upon the passage of this ordinance to exe-
cute duplicate copies with the seal of the City of Green-
ville, and shall deliver one of these copies so signed and
sealed on behalf of said City to the Paris Mountain
Water Company, and accept the other when signed and
sealed by them on behalf of said City and cause it to be
properly acknowledged and recorded according to law.
