Writ of Dower

The Guardians for Andrew Cost, Nancy C Cost Henry Cost & Sarah Evaline Cost are hereby aithorized to pay Mrs Barthenia Cost the above accounts with the abatement of ten dollars on each account, upon settlement of said Guardianships I will allow said accounts with the exception of ten dollars on eeach. January 3d 1849 W G Bowden Judge &c.

State of Alabama Shelby County Interrogatories to be propounded to David Meredith a witness for John Cost Guardian for Nancy Cost Sarah E Cost & last miner heirs of Ely Costs decd in a case pending in the probate Court for said County upon the final settlement of Guardianship which with the answer thereto will be read in evidence upon the final trial of said cause

1st Are you acquainted with the miner heirs of Ely Cost

2nd Have you ever been the guardian of any of said heirs if yea which of them & how many

3rd who succeeded in as such guardian and how much did you upon your turning over the guardianship pay to said Guardian for each of said wards when did you settle your guardianship

4th were there any claims in favor of Barthena Ozley for board &c when you settled if yea how much & for what years did you pay these claims or did the guardian after you pay them & how much

5 has John Cost paid any thing for you as such guardian and how much if any

6 tell all that you know that will benefit the Guardian John Cost

7 Did you Report board due to attorney for guardian Barthena Ozley for 1847 & 1848 and get a credit for it a Did you pay to John Cost a note on Mrs Ozley for four hundred dollars & Did John Cost agree to pay said Board to his mother out of said note and was it not so paid
