At our last meeting, you will remember, organization under the Constitution & Statutes was suspended until deemed expedient by the Board, so that I am not sure that we have any "Chancellor," or any officer authorized to call special meetings, unless it be the Executive Committee. But I presume no harm will come out of the irregularity of procedures, & that no question will be raised as to the legality of the meeting proposed to be held at Columbia in Octo. But I think Bp. Otey wd do well - & perhaps save trouble - if he wd send the call (by circular) to each

Trustee personally - as very likely some of them may not take the Ch. Intelligencer, and others who do take it, may not see the little notification it contains.
I shall be glad to meet you at Columbia, both in the Board & in the Convention.
I congratulate you on being the father of the first child born at University Place. May she live to see the University all that the founders have expected it to be.
