I'm expecting a letter from Jeff tomorrow. If he hasn't already written tell May not to go monopolising him so much - I know its winter.

Another blue moon tonight. It looked exceptionally rare. The hills have been fired and there is a constant shower of sparkes. Bush fires fascinate me. One that I lit this week burned a narrow path nearly four miles long. Gosh they travel at a speed. The natives do pretty well at firewalking too.

By way of a change I'm not on night duty till tomorrow night.

I'll leave you to the land of hope & fond memories again Nance darling. They could offer more joy than events of the past week. I'll go to bed but not to sleep - not for a long long while. That's when my memory is best. If only we could answer each others prayer -
