Conversion of S. Paul
Took stroll to French village in the morning.
During afternoon visited largest ammunition dump in France. Went to Cinema till 7.30. Returned back to Camp at 8pm. Left Abancourt at 9pm.
SUNDAY 26
3rd After Epiphany
Passed Amiens at 2 am. Pulled up at small town for breakfast: Arrvd. Arras noon. Arras is one mass of ruins, railway station hardly recognisable. For miles around old British Front & Support lines: No trees standing anywhere, littered with disbanded tanks, machine guns, rifles, equipment etc.
