Company commenced work at 9am. I wrote up diary & travelling during morning. During the afternoon we played cards until tea time. I had tea then went for walk . Turned in fairly early & read until very late.

TUESDAY 29
Mr Gregg granted me special leave to visit Paris. Advanced me 250
francs. Departed Warfusée 10am arrived Amiens 11:30am, visited
Cathedral. Left Amiens 1-3pm arrived Paris 3:10: Metro to République booked up at Leave Club. Had tea then promenaded through main boulevard. Met Harry Whiting had dinner then visited Allied concert. After concert went out to see life at night for the gay city of Paris.
