S. LUKE
Up early again so as to be ready for leave. Left boat about 11 then went to Anzac Lounge, then to Cecil Rhode's Place, saw Zoo, his house, gardens & monument. Took numerous photographs. Had dinner about 2pm then strolled down to the Main Pier & around different places of interest in the Cape. Returned to boat about midnight.

SUNDAY 19
18TH AFTER TRINITY
Departed from Cape Town about 8.30 heavy wind blowing. Land in sight until up to dusk. Saw squwyhere [?]. Start of the RCross tomorrow. Played Bridge & Poker during the great part of the afternoon. Before tea went down below with Bert & Kim & listen to troops [?] practicing.
