Morning spent in preparing Battalion or Quota to move out on the morrow. Had dinner down at the Salvos. Afternoon spent in playing poker, rather profitable game for me. The four of us then went down town went to the Cinema. Then had our farewell supper at the Salvos very good. Letter to Dot & Rose.
THURSDAY 25
Reveille 2am. Breakfast 2.30 Fell in 4am, passage for intraining at 4.20am, marched to train 5.30 arrived there 6am. Had cup of tea then entrain at 6.40. Arrive Exeter 1pm. Devenport at 2.30 embarked ps [?] tugs [?] at 4pm. No 3 & 4 Coys 7pm | 33453-0014-0136SEPTEMBER 1919
