49 Columbia Aug 17th 1893 Town Council met pursuant to adjournment, Mayor C P Hutchinson presiding, the following Councilmen present, Voland, Bond, Willacy & Schade The minutes of the last meeting read and corrected and approved. The profile of Angeline St shown and the question of Grade discussed and on motion the sme was adopted as shown on profile. Ordinance #31 for the grading and side walking of Angeline St read and corrected and on motion same was passed by the Council and approved by its Mayor. Motion made and carried that the Clerk advertise for bids for the Grading of Angeline Street Motion made and carried to adjournment to meet Monday Aug 21st 1893 at 8 o'clock pm B R Shaw clerk Approved Aug 28th 1893 C P Hutchinson mayor

50 Columbia Aug 21st 1893 Town Council met pursuant to adjournment, Mayor C P Hutchinson presiding, Roll call and present Schade & Willacy There not being a quorum present the Mayor adjourned the meeting until Monday night Aug 28th 1893 at 8 pm B R Shaw town clerk Approved Aug 28th 1893 C P Hutchinson mayor

51 Columbia Aug 17th 1893 Town Council met pursuant to adjournment, Mayor C P Hutchinson presiding, Roll call with the following Councilmen present, Bond, Willacy, Schade & Sullivan The minutes of the last meeting read and on motion approved. The minutes of the meeting held Aug 17th read and on motion approved. Motion made and carried by that Sec 7 in Ordinance 331 be amended by a new ordinance to read as follows that the assessment for the grading of Angeline St be funded in three equal payments. One third Sept 1st 1894 1/3 Sept 1895 1/3 1896 There was five bids for the grading of Angeline St received and on being opened the bid of F E Scott was considered the cheapest & at 24 cents per yard reguardless of the quantity of material to be removed andon motion the same was accepted and the Attorney instructed to draw up a contract to that effect. Motion made and carried that the Council Treasurer be instructed to collect all but 35 cents per the matter rent from those using water on the flat and 1/2 rate from those living on the Hill up to Aug 1st after tjat all to pay regular [?] Motion made and carried to adjourne to meet Monday Sept 4th at 8 o'clock pm B R Shaw Approved Sept 4th 1893 C P Hutchinson

The following Bill for Labor and their expenses read and warrants drawn for payment of same Bill from C W Groat 5 days work as chairmen @ 2.00 per Day $10.00 paid by Columbus St fund warrant Bill from C S Woodman $12.50 Work on Columbia St paid from Columbia St fund warrant. Bill from C S Woodman $35.50 work onAngeline St ordered paid as soon as fund is created. Bill from Joseph Hellenthal work on water works $37.50 paid from water fund. Bill from A Houston work on water works $24.25 paid from water fund. Bill fromA Homquist $16.00 work on water works. Bill from A Ellgin $11.00 Louis Almquist $13.50 G S Sickler $2.00 W Faulks $12.00 A Nelson $2.00 W G Hadlock $22.00 A A Hepler $27.25 J C Huff $16.00 Bill from the Post Intelligencer for adv. for bids $5.00 read and will be paid Bill from P V Dwyer & Bros read and on motion referred to M Edmiston The profile of the Bulk Head to be built on Angeline St shown and on motion the Clerk Authorized to advertise for bids for the construction of same. Bill fromZ C Miles supplies for wter work $14.76 read and on motion ordered paid from water funds. The clerk instructed to draw warrants for the amount due the Contractor onColumbus St according to Engineers report.

53 The bonds and contract of F E Scott for the grading of Angeline St read and on motion accepted subject to of suitable Bonds men. Ordinance #32 Amending Sec 7 in ordinance #31 read and passed by the council and approved bythe Mayor. Motion made and carried to adjourne to meet Monday Spet 11th at 8 o'clock pm B R Shaw Town Clerk Approved Sept 11th 1893 C P Hutchinson mayor
