The Judiciary Committee
to whom was referred that mat-
ter of securing the services of
additional Counsel regarding
the condemnation proceedings
recently instituted by the City
by to report as follows:
Your Committee have ap-
proached the firm of Burke & Haller
upon the subject who agree to
undertake the cause of the city
in there matters, in conjunction
with the city attorney upon re-
ceiving a retainer of $1000.00
Therefore, the balance to be paid
when a final issue is reached
and the amount of such balance
to be determined by the extent
fo the services rendered: and to be left to arbitration if necessary
Considering the magnitude of
the interests involved and the char-
acter of the legal services to be
rendered your committee would
recommend that the services of the
firm of Burke & Haller be engaged
upon those terms.
