Your petitioner, The First Christian
Church of the City of Seattle, a corpora-
tion, by its attorney Bair & Brown
resepectfully shows:-
1st That it is the owner of Lot 7 in
Block 55 of D T Denny's Home
Addition to the City of Seattle
2nd That it has owned said lot
since the 24th day of March
A D 1890.
3d that said lot was assessed
for the city taxes of 1890; that said
tax was unpaid, became delin-
quent and said lot was sold for said tax
of 1890 to one J L Howe and that a cer-
tificate of sale was issued to said
Howe, who now asks that a deed be issued.
4th That said First Christian Church
first learned of said assessment
and sale this 30th day of August 1892
5th That the said propertyof the said
church is worth less than the sum
of $5000.00 and is therefore exempt
from taxation under the laws
of the State and of the United States
