Bids for Fire Cisterns
And now the Council proceeds to open + consider the bids re-
ceived for Fire Cisterns, Which bids are as follows, towit:
Names
John T. Jordan Union &3rd Sts. $1275. Madison & 3rd $1275. Bell & Front $1325. Washington & 3rd $1325 Total $5200.
Wm Harkins Union & 3rd Sts. $890. Madison & 3rd $890 Bell & Front $890 Washington & 3rd $890 Total $3560.
M. Keezer Total $3590
Ordered that all said bids be rejected
And now the Council proceeds to consider the assessment Roll for
the Improvement of Madison Street under Ordinance No. 406;
thereupon after due examination said Roll is approved.
And now the Council proceeds to consider the assessment Roll for
the Improvement of South 4th Street under Ordinance No. 439; there-
upon after due examination said Roll is approved.
And now the Council proceeds to consider the assessment Roll for the
Improvement of Battery Street under Ordinance No. 441; Thereupon
after due examination said Roll is approved.
Applications for Licenses
Ordered that licenses be issued as follows towit:
Chas Anderson Retail for 3 months from Dec 1, 1883
Coffin & Co Grocery for 3 months from Jan 28, 1884
Jacob Johnson Retail for 3 months from Jan 19, 1884
Henry Duhemel Retail for 3 months from Jan 20, 1884
C. H. Hill Retail for 3 months from Jan 26, 1884
Wm Busha Retail for 3 months from Jan 17, 1884
Miles & McCormick Retail for 3 months from Jan 15, 1884
Gladhill & Kavanaugh Retail for 3 months from Jan 24, 1884
