1897 1st. m. 1st. 6th.day

Cloudy all day, night cool. Sally and Jane Brooke called here in the afternoon.

2d. 7th.day Cloudy early morning, cleared off before noon, mild.

3d. 1st.day Cloudy morning, bright most of the afternoon. Joseph and I at meeting; Charles Stabler here in the afternoon.

1st.mo. 4th. 2d.day Cloudy a good deal of the day; the sun shone out some. Clara Moore called in the morning; Caleb Stabler dined here; Margaret and Richard Magruder called late in the afternoon; Lucy and I called at Charley Forest in the afternoon; very mild

5th. 3d.day Cooler, cloudy, most of the morning, bright afternoon; rained before day light. I dined at Ingleside, came to the "Aid meeting" at Walter Brookes in the afternoon; Ellen Farquhar called here late in the afternoon. Lucy went to the office in the morning.

7th. 5th.dau Clear, night cold, still. Joseph went to Dr. [Patums?] in the afternoon to to the "Colonel"

8th. 6th.day Clear and milder; no one here all day; Lucy went to P.P. late in the afternoon.

1st.mo. 1th. 5th.day Cloudy all day, snowed last night, and some during the day, today; I went to a quilting at Pam Metheralds, Joseph took me and went for me. Henry Thomas began working here.

15th. 6th.day Cloud all day. [Tilghman?] Hood came down for Carrie Elhins. Harriet Budd here in the afternooon to fry doughnuts. Charlie and Carrie Broke called late in the afternoon.

16th. 7th.day Cloudy all day, milder; foggy part of the day; no company
