a bus in which I had purchased a ticket before leaving the train for I was [?](whether) anyone was there to meetome, but before I had traversed half the diatamer between the train and the station I heard someone behind me call "Joe", "Joe" I looked around and say [?] mary Jachson whom her husband's arm hast ming toward me, I shook hands with both, and after a few words of greeting we got on a street car and rode throgh the city for afowl two miles to the extreme

home on the 4th. On the 6th I was paid off 11.000 in gold for my week's services. which I had hardly earned as there was very little for me to do. Letters from home

8th-13th This week I find much more to do and become more acquainted with the business

13th-22nd During this week I take a trip [?] is the [?] Depot, to Blake and go eladey streets. Rieeve letter from Will Thornes from Home. 22nd-30th Take [?] trips during the week is [?] Chemical Works' another trip is Oharkham Hotel and is Collier of Clevelamt's and ales [?] Lawyer [?] office. Letters from Faiall. Leigear and Riehgrason. Thanksgiving- day. December/31 Monday Opheme very warm, mo snon closer than the mountains. Miss m'Rand comes is- work again although yesterfay she cut her fingers very badly and fainted.

2nd Tuesday a repetition of the proceeding days & week

Jan 6th 1887 It has been nearly or quite a month since I have written in my diary & I come to the conclusion that I will not keep an account of the events daily as I [?]- find began became it is t troublesome, & I still write an account of the events that happen during the month at the Ends of Each consecutive month. I have been over hio months in Denver at this writing, am still working for W.H. Jackson, but at times I nearly make up my mind to leave and go to come [?] [?], he is not the kind of man I like to work for, he has much mean ways, none of his [?] like him, but I intend staying until he becomes [?] overbearing that he will raise some of my [?] and make me say something that he don't like and there will be a separation between Joasaphine J W. H. Jackson, but I do wit jean for O am ewre I can get enjoyment somewhere else with God's Help!!! Christmas 1886 passed away very pleasantly but I did not stay at home to enjoy [?] with my [?] and [?] [?] Thanksgiving-day,
