April Tuesday, 22 1879
Uncle Henson worked all day and
Phineas Carol 3/4 of a day. I worked
at fixing the "omnibus".
Cousin Hallie Chandlee called.
Charles Stabler brought me 800
osage orange plants for a hedge
between our lot and where Moab White
lives.

Clear Wednesday, 23
Uncle Henson worked all day, and
Phineas Carol 3/4 of a day.
Finished planting potatoes.

Clear Thursday, 24
Uncle Henson worked at planting
hedge all day. Went to Meeting of the
County Grange at "Brighton". Took Dora and
left her at Edwd: Peirce's until after
the meeting. Mary Miller called for
advice for "Bell".

April Friday, 25 1879
Clear Uncle Henson finished
planting the osage orange hedge
and "rubbed" the potatoe ground.
Working 1/2 a day. [Larken] woman brought
Rachael Kelly's infant and I ligated [furgest]
tumor on its umbilicus. Jno Johnson called.
I went to Crawford's Lea's Mill and Riverside.

Clear Saturday, 26^th S.E.
Phinea Carol worked (painting)
3/4 of a day. I painted and put new
cover and curtains on omnibus. Planted
seeds in truck patch.
Harriet (Colored girl from Spencerville)
had tooth extracted.
Wm Bukoffsky's infant (one of the twins)
son Frank died this afternoon.

Cloudy Sunday, 27^th N.E.
W^m J Scofield here after me early in
the morning. Went to Scofield's after
breakfast. Charly and Willie went to Riverside
Israel also went and took
the colt over to pasture.
