Sarah Stabler came & took sister H
to "The Cottage" to make a visit.
Margt G Moore sent me (by a servant
girl) a note & sample for analysis.
Afternoon Edwd took Frank Robison &
Jerry Yerkes to the River for a bath.
Chas G. Porter called to talk about
"old man Eut." After supper Edwd went
to a meeting of the "dance class" at "Marden"
he came back before mid-night.

Herbert rode his bicycle to the Cottage
after breakfast. I drove over to "Riverside"
to see Bro. Richard again. Harriet went
with me, returned in time for dinner
Richard C P Iddings called to see us.
After supper I walked up to the P. O.

Ther. 70° Saturday, AUG. 25th 1889 S.E. Wind.
Herbert left for Riverside on his bicycle.
I drove to Ashton & to "The Cottage"
Harriet going with me home to dinner.
Afternoon I walked up to F. T. Leizear's and
he cashed a "money order" I received from
the Penn Mutual Life Insurance Co.
Towards evening I rode over to F. Downey's
and paid him $5.00 on our milk bill.
After supper went up to the P.O.

Ther. 70 ° Sunday, 26th E Wind.
Edwd & I went to meeting, we had
another "silent meeting". Edw Farquhar -
still being absent taking a vacation
trip. Sarah Wright brought her granddaughter
to the office for advice and
medicine. Afternoon I went up to Henderson's
for the papers & brought home a
sack of flour. We had quite a severe thunder
gust that came up about 2.30 p.m. lightning
struck a large locust tree opposite Henderson's
house across the road, it also crossed over
the road to the telephone poles & wires. it
came into the office here with a report
like a pistol shot, & also into Mrs. Robison's
with a similar report. We had a nice
rain with the storm.
