Willie & Fanny left for Fairfield
after breakfast. I drove to Riverside
calling at Ashton to have some
tinkering done to the sleigh: called
at "Eldon" & took sister B with me
& left her there (at Riverside). Bro.
R is not near so well, being extremely
weak. Afternoon Emma
Jane Davis called & paid ballance
of her bill. Lizzie Scott & Kate
Stabler & Florence Wetherald also
were here to see Dora. I went out
to Henderson's for the papers. The
sleighing is the best we have had
for years past.

Ther. Friday 4 Wea.

I drove over to see Chas Howard
and to Riverside to see Bro Richard,
called at Ashton & had sleigh fixed
(braces put to the front benches, etc.
Eliza Green Howard came after me
this morning. Afternoon Will & Fanny
came & staid to supper on their way
home from Rockville After supper
Edward went to Mrs S Ellicott's to a
little company.

Ther. Sat. Jan 5th, 1895 Wea.

Cold morning I drove over to
Riverside calling at Ashton. Edwd
went with me. The sleighing still
is excellent. Afternoon I went up
to Henderson's & borrowed a bag
of coal. Edward helped me bring
it down on the sled. Willie & Fanny
came to spend the night. Willie
& Edward went to a little party at
Lizzie Scott's in the evening.
They reached home at 11.45,
p.m. an hour or two before it commenced
raining.

Cloudy & Rain
33 degrees° S.E.
Ther. Sunday 6th Wea.

It commenced raining after
midnight last & has continued at intervals
all day today. W. & Fanny left
for "Fairfield" before dinner in their
sleigh. This is an extremely disggreeable
day & I fear will break up the sleighing.
I do not feel well & dread turning out
in the rain unless it is absolutely
necessary and am sent for by telephone.
After supper I walked up to the
P.O. & mailed letters, one to T H Borden
from myself. & one to Charley & one to Ellis
Wood from H.
