is dying out in Europe
you can then make your
trip without anxiety.

I have heard of nothing
special that would infect
you. I have seen no one
to tell me anything I
remain here for the quiet
and rest - the house in
the city with its stillness
its vacant rooms where
I left my sister are very
depressing and I must
be brave and courageous
and so live as to give
evidence of my trust
in a loving Saviour, who
does all things well and for
the good of those he calls
to himself and chose
who are left to do his
works. I have Jennie
with me and she is a
sunbeam - and after I
get used to having her
ask her numerous questions
and her never easing
activity I shall take it
more quietly than I now
do. I have stopped her
school going and have
a governess to teach her at
home.

We often talk about you
and dear Lydia, and I
am so glad we meet
in London for you both
