My dear May.

Only a few words my
very dear friend, to let you
know I have treasured all
the sweet sympathy, all the
priceless love, you have given
me. I have wanted to see
you since my illness, but I
could not bring my mind
to let you come, I have had
more than sickness, a troub-
led heart. I cannot tell
you what - you will know
when a few more weeks have
passed. I felt more sorry
than you can think that I
had to recall the "at home"
