the funds necessary to pay my tuition, but without avail. Will you please be kind enough to grant me my tuition? If so I will do everything within my power to advance the welfare of the University. I graduated from the Lincoln Evening School, and received one of the [bridge?] medals. I don't smoke, chew, or drink. I am working for Messrs.H.S.Crocker and Co. at present, to whom I may refer you for further particulars. I sent one application to Washington about three weeks ago. But I learned that you are in California, so I take the liberty to encumber you with another, to be sure you received one of them. Please excuse my boldness in doing so.
