Dear Indgi

Several letters from you, Hunntington having been here will give you a better answer to most that they contain than I can write. But about election of Directors of SPRR. WE must narrow those directors and they must be ours and not ones else. There is too much at Stake to do otherwise. About that claim of Siby shall against the Yuba RR [Ralston?] told me that you had said hat we would assurance the Claim. He gave me the agreement just before I came out here. I took it thinking we might use it in during Yuba Co to pay over the bonds. I tod Ralston we would do the best we could to get the Bonds and did not wish the claim urged upon us for settlement [with?] ha had time to get the Bonds.

I don't understand the nature

of that such to be bought against the M.P. bonds as no Stockholders but ourselves and Santa Clara R.R. M is eventually moved by Malike or desire for Mack Mail. If upfront and. I do not doubt the Atty Gen can be made to see in the eight bights.

Things are moving here as usual. I have not been well this past week but think I shall be all right soon. I have had a narrow eseaph from a settled [froer?]. Durant and all his crowd is here but the would seems to move as usual expect a big gale of wind east [mipth?]

I shall have these and Stevenson go over the line from here EAst to Echo summit and a few miles beyond in a few days.

The talk now is that the WP will be here with their track in 40 days. If favorable weathers is of consequence to them they cannot complain

Mr are sticking as close to the hive as possible and I think we have the might to hold it. But the way our track is coming to will be tedious holding. I hope in some way better paragraph will be made but now cannot conceive as progress seems to be slower as the rolling stock increases

I suppose Huntington is with you by this time I am anxious to see him back. When he comes he can post me.

Yours truly
