Dear Mother and Daddy -

I have just come back from a three hour geology lab. It consisted of hiking all over the hills and breaking rocks to see what kind they were. It was all very tiring; I had to look all over the campus for a hammer to use at the great occasion, but was unsuccessful. I also found it necessary to wear a pair of jeans, which I had to borrow; so I wish that you would send me a pair because I am afraid I am going to need them quite often.

I guess you want to know about all the social activities. There is still quite a bit of it. There is a dance given by the soldiers every Friday night and usually a dance
