thus are given a holiday.

I have not heard of Mr. Ban-
nister being here as yet. Just who
is he? I know his name but that is
all I can remember. I don't know
whether I ever met him or not.

A Mr. Campbell is also coming
so Ava says in one of her letters,
and Professor Sampson's brother I
believe is coming also. There are
several new girls and will be a number
of men students. Did I tell you we
had a letter from Helen Willis. They
are in Portland, Oregon and she expects
to come here next year. Her mother
must be better, we suppose, from the
fact that she thinks of leaving her.
She will have graduated from the
High School there and will thus be
received without examinations. She
asks if Helen is coming, because she
wants a room mate.

Miss Evans who is here and
attends the same church which Helen
does in Portland, does not that that
she is strong enough to come here.

Yesterday Minnie and I worked
hard at having a good time. We played
tennis in the morning and about ten
o'clock when Clara Avery and Minnie
were playing against Winnie Caldwell
and myself, Mr. Trumbo and Mr. Morgan
came to say that the football game
which was planned for the afternoon
